Project Planning
For those in the planning stages of a commercial aquaponic or hydroponic project, we offer Project Planning.
Proper planning of your venture is the first step toward success. Identifying local market needs, adequate site, space and energy requirements, budget and potential operational costs and revenue are all essential before you spend a dime on equipment.
Project planning includes personal design and planning with John Pade and Rebecca Nelson, Nelson and Pade, Inc. Project Planning clients have direct access to John and Rebecca to discuss ideas, ask questions and request recommendations.
Project Planning is conducted in three parts. First, phone and email discussions take place between the client, John and Rebecca to help refine the scope of the project, design options and recommendations, crop choices, infrastructure requirements, etc. Nelson and Pad then prepare a preliminary report, which covers the basics of the project to make sure that design matches the concept and budget. After discussions on the preliminary report, Nelson and Pade move forward with the final design, costs, etc and then prepare the final report. This whole process usually takes 4-6 weeks. Follow-up phone and email consultation related to the project is included. A site survey is offered as an option if the client wants a personal visit by Nelson and Pade. The cost of the site survey is not included in the Project Plan.
In addition to offering recommendations on the environmental control and aquaponic culture systems, issues such as power, water source, existing infrastructure, market demands, labor required and business potential will be addressed. An extensive, written Project Plan report will be delivered to the Client upon completion of the study. The report covers these topics:
- Introduction and Project Overview
- Industry History and Overview
- Proposed Facility Overview
