Rebecca Nelson and John Pade Invited to Speak at Two International Events
Known throughout the industry for their leadership and knowledge of aquaponics, Rebecca Nelson and John Pade, owners of Nelson and Pade, Inc., have recently been invited to speak at two international events. The first is the 3rd International Conference and Exhibition on Soilless Culture (ICESC), which will take place in Singapore, Mar 8-13, 2010. Conference organizer Dr. Mallick F Rahman, M., is assembling a diverse group of speakers to address all types of soilless food production. Rebecca and John will be teaching a full day workshop on aquaponics and will also be presenting on agri-tourism and aquaponics in education. Other topics that will be presented at this conference include designing and operating hydroponic systems, phytoponics, organic hydroponics, marine hydroponics, greenhouse technology, plant physiology and nutrition.
The second event is the 7th International Conference on Hydroponics, taking place in Toluca, Mexico, March 18-20th, 2010. Rebecca and John are returning to this bi-annual conference for the third time, having spoken at this event in 2004 and 2008. Always impressed with the high level of interest and enthusiasm that this conference brings, they are looking forward to sharing three presentations on aquaponics: An Introduction to Aquaponics; Applications and Methods of Aquaponics; Commercial Aquaponic Systems. Conference organizer and president of the Hydroponic Society of Mexico, Gloria Samperio, brings together 28 speakers from 14 different countries and an average attendance of 1200 people. This conference is the largest and most impressive in the world of soilless food production.
Rebecca Nelson shares, “John and I are honored to be invited to share our experience and knowledge of aquaponics at these two prestigious events. We are so happy that the organizers of these events embrace aquaponics, not just as a form of organic hydroponics, but as a solution to feed people around the world, growing and providing both protein and vegetable crops from one culture system. These conferences give us the opportunity to meet new people and connect with old friends, to teach others about aquaponic technology and to bring home what we learn from speakers from other countries.”
Anyone interested in attending either workshop should contact the conference organizers directly.
