Nelson and Pade, Inc.'s R & D Greenhouse

Nelson and Pade, Inc. operates a greenhouse for research and demonstration in Montello, WI. This greenhouse is where new system designs and equipment are tested. It is also the location for the hands-on workshops offered by Nelson and Pade, Inc. This greenhouse demonstrates affordable technology in aquaponics and controlled environment agriculture, with an eye toward maximizing production. Within the greenhouse, the application of both low-tech and high tech aquaponic methods are demonstrated, producing a very high volume of crops with minimal inputs. Solar-powered roof vents, natural ventilation, insulation and other energy-saving methods are incorporated in the greenhouse design.
