SPECIAL GUEST and CO-LECTURER:  Dr. James Rakocy, Director, Agricutulture Experiment Station, University of the Virgin Islands.  Dr. James Rakocy, Director of the Agriculture Experiment Station at the University of the Virgin Islands, is an advisor to Nelson and Pade, Inc. He is the foremost research scientist in the world of aquaponics.  Dr. Rakocy will be co-teaching this workshop with Rebecca Nelson and John Pade.   This a great opportunity for anyone interested in aquaponics to learn from the leading experts in the field in a fun and informative workshop setting. 

Special Guest - Rick Decker, AquaMax Feeds.  Rick will talk about feeds, feed formulations and feeding.

Special Guest - Ron Johnson, WI Aquaculture Extension Agent.  Ron will talk about fish farming and regulations.

In Depth Aquaponics and Controlled Environment Agriculture Workshops

This is an expanded version of the Aquaponics and Controlled Environment Workshop. In addition to the standard course content you will learn how to make the best choices in planning and designing a greenhouse for aquaponics; learn about cost-saving measures and affordable solutions to environmental control; learn techniques used in building aquaponic systems; learn advanced growing techniques and advanced filtration options; learn about the Clear Flow Aquaponic SystemsTM and the Living Food BankTM and, you will have the opportunity to tour a commercial aquaponic greenhouse.  Three day workshops also feature a guest speaker.
